My father's place in the Poconos already has about 6" on the ground. Its early even for them... for this amount.
My mon is North near Camptown. Experienced snow but it did not lay. This is TO early Brenda. Did you ever see it snow or have it so cold this soon?
Wasn't unusual to have cold and snow before Halloween when i was out in Erie... but I don't remember it around here before Halloween (Then again, my rememberer isn't very good)

Still sore over that BS call. They should of called the game in the bottom of the 5th! Instead, they let TB run in the tie and then make the call. Someone needs to investigate why those umps made one bad call after another. game 2, a bad call favoring TB.... Game 3, bad call favoring Philly. That would be karma. Now with the delay, it's back in our court!!! I understand an August game with bad calls or something but damn. I feel cheated. Sure the entire City does!

Once the tying run crossed the plate, I immediately turned to Pat and said, 'watch, they'll suspend the game now'... and sure enough. I agree, bad call.

That is what I am referring to. South Eastern Pennsylvania.... I remember one cold Halloween & that's it. I remember November taking early hits but this is a bit much.

I didn't call Sean yet but this is from MLB.... Did you get this from the local Brenda?
PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies and Rays will know what to do when they cross the white lines and resume Game 5 of the World Series. They just are not completely sure when they'll be permitted to do so.
Major League Baseball planned to examine the weather forecast for resuming the suspended contest as the first order of business on Tuesday, determining if baseball can be played during the evening at Citizens Bank Park.
Early afternoon approached presenting overcast skies, continuing precipitation and medium winds on a gray day in Philadelphia.
"We have to watch the weather. It just is tricky," Commissioner Bud Selig said on Monday night after the Rays and Phillies suspended play in the sixth inning. "The thing that's been so difficult is that the weather, it just keeps changing. It changed during the game. Obviously, we're very sensitive to that, and we'll bend over backwards to be sensitive to the Philly fans, who have been tremendous."

Re: Old Blog - 10.23.08
hey Brenda,
I read the post back some, where you mentioned 1983 when the Phillies lost to Baltimore because of the weather. I couldn't imagine a repeat! Knocks on hard hard woodrow!

They aren't even sure they'll play tomorrow because it's looking like tomorrow's weather is supposed to be bad too.
