Biggest secret to gravy... if its a bit lumpy, just run it through a strainer... LOL... instantly lump free!

Holiday meals shouldn't be about stress... don't let them get to you. Try to enjoy it... and if they complain, they can cook next time.

I make alot of gravies... just this past Sunday I made Salisbury steak with brown gravy... and it was yummmmmmy!

I get off easy at Thanksgiving... I do the desserts. Last year I made homemade dinner rolls too.. not this year (they were a BITCH!). This year desserts and buffalo chicken dip for crackers.

I like wine. So. I'll add wine and run w/ it!

Man, I want some buffalo chicken dip right now!!!!! I love that stuff!

Don't add too much though... no more than a 1/3 cup or so, for about 4 cups of gravy. (Drink the rest of the wine! LOL)

Happy early Turkey day everyone! To save my mom's back and joints etc, we decided to not have a dinner at home, but decided to have brunch at a restuarant, and maybe a small 'normal' dinner...not turkey however. I took off Monday, so a 5 day weekend! Of course I had to stay at work until 6 last night, and 5 tonight to not have so much left to work on on Tuesday. Almost everyone else left at 3....grrrrr!

I know I'm never on here (been busy with work and things) but just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope all are doing well. I will definitely try to be around if snow is approaching.

Lou I know how you feel with work. At certain points of the year it just sucks ass. Today I worked from 7-5 and I'm heading back in at 8 til who knows. At least I some how got off tomorrow.

A little late but I think I saw Amy has a new dog. And congrats on the new job!

This is my quiet time before I start to cook. Mike and Shawn are hunting and Jake is sitting watching Animal Planet.

I'm hoping I'll be able to chat w/ Bren and keep her company while she works today and I promised Jake we would watch the Macy's Day Parade. It's a tradition!
