Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Okay.. Maybe you can help me... ( Butterball is no longer taking calls today! ) This is my fault I should have thought of this earlier....
I'm cooking 2 Turkey Breasts. One is 6lbs and one is 7.5lbs. According to the package they need to cook 2-3 hours. However, do I need to double that since I have 2 that the total weight almost equals 13lbs?

I just went in and talked to the chefs for you...
They said to be sure that the breasts aren't touching eachother when they are in the oven, and go by the time suggestion on the larger breast, just be sure to keep an eye on the smaller breast as it will be done sooner. You will NOT need to double the time!!!!

Oh hey... since you brought up drinking... can you pass me a glass please? What flavor do you have???? Not that I'm picky, heck, anything will do right now.

I wish I had some Egg Nog... Yum.. Reminds me of the Frozen Brandy Alexanders my Grandfather used to make when I was little. He used to always give me a sip!

I think I am going to put my Turkeys in at 10:30. I'm not sure what time they are coming over.. But, if they are done early I can always carve them and keep it warm in the oven. Does that sound OK?

Hey.. are liquor stores open in DE today??? I know PA's are closed, and I think DE's are closed too. I could go for some wine...

This is why I like to go to other people homes. I can cook.. But, I don't cook turkeys often and I'm not very good at it. ( obviously)

The biggest perk to hosting TDay is being in possession of the leftovers! LOL Otherwise, I agree, let someone else do all the work.
I'm making a standing rib on Christmas... then a big turkey dinner for New Years. Pat has requested homemade turkey noodle soup to be made with the carcass... funny how his craving has turned into my work.
Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
