Hey everyone! Work still pretty much stinks...luckily the holiday party has a cash bar this year...lol Been in a rut lately...been bored, and not a whole lot of motivation to do much. Need a night out or something. I did put up some Xmas decorations ovet the weekend, and that looks nice. Attempted to put up icicle lights on the roofline and gutters, but got scared getting from the ladder to the roof, and just knew I would find a way to fall off the roof if I got up there...lol.

I agree about the snow Brenda...we had the one day with a 1/2-1 inch (about 2 weeks ago), but nothing else.

Hi Lou... I miss chatting with you!!!! I agree about a night out... lets plan something for after the holidays.

I also have to add Iriah Heritage. Talking to my husband's mother, who is Irish, went on and on about a lot of cool traditions. Looking at all my notes of Italian traditions, there are a few in common, such as family is everything, the man of the house eats first, if you don't eat what's on your plate, your sent off to bed with no dinner, can't mention drinking wine or beer to the students, uh, the christmas wreathe originated from Ireland. The irish folk lit a candle in their windows. Left the their doors unlocked so weary travelers could get some hospitality.
Going into the Immigration part, many Irish folk immigrated to America because of the great potato famine...

Main staples of food during leaner times. Things like that.

Its snowing!! A dusting on the ground so far...looks nice with the Xmas decoration up.

Just started flurring here, Lou... but I'm not expecting much.

Ended up with about a 1/2 or so...a nice covering on all surfaces...fricken cold out there!!

About .50-.75" here last night, but woke up this morning and the sun had melted most of it. Darn, tootin it's cold... and windy... not sure how that snow melted. LOL

Action packed day here... church at 9:30am, then home for breakfast and decorating the tree Pat cut last night, then soccer at 1:30... then Longwood Gardens at 3:30 pm. Whew, I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it all... might have to skip soccer today, not sure it fits in.

Sounds like a busy day indeed. I just went to Target to buy a couple things, and ordered 2 19" LCD TV/DVD combos on Target.com (1 is one of my mom's Xmas gifts). It will be an early one since I will probably just let her use it now, plus I can use the one I bought for myself, and not have her ask questions...lol.

Over a foot of snow?... could this verify? Oh my, this could get exciting! Eric, I need you! LOL

RobBen and Kevin among others were looking at the 0Z GFS on Rob G's chat, and it still looks pretty good for the i-95 region...about 3-6 inches...storm still off the coast a good bit but close enough for some nice snow. I unfortunately are on the outskirts of the moisture. Guess we'll see if this verifies, or does a 'last winter' and starts to track west and west etc....
