LOL... enjoy it... we don't get them often enough.
Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
This is a pleasant surprise... snow and JJ... two of my favorite things. It's a shame neither sticks around very long.
Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
For the next few weeks I'll be around.

Like I said, why drive down to sit at a bar by myself? I'll have to be sure to bring either Bootsy or Amy so I don't have to drink alone. Drinking alone would warrant another 12-step program.

Well it started to snow here around 6 or so...quit for a bit, now starting again....I'd be happy with 4 inches (of snow LOL)...until something happens to change my thinking, I will also guess we will get less than the forecasts....grrrr!

Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Snowing well here now.. started around 7pm, then stopped for about 45 minutes. Steadier snow bagan about 30 minutes ago. Had a covering left on grass from this morning, now drives/roads/walks covered again too. Shame the rain is coming.
Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Enjoy your 'snow day' Brenda! I should have some fun getting into work in the morning since the sleet/freezing rain is expected to stick around here until late morning/midday...I might take my mom's car...time for bed I guess...lol.

Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Crunchy snow. Do I start shoveling or let Mom Nature take care of it with the rain? Well, since I'm not dressed I'm opting to let the rain wash it all away. No sense putting clothes until its time to get ready to go to the hospital.
Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Ugh... back to work... again. This work thing is very over-rated. Remind me to buy my Powerball ticket.
Think snow, ya'll... perhaps we'll see that nor'easter... as snow not rain.

Yea work bites definitely...TGIF soon though! I saw you mentioned hospital...hope no family is sick or hurt, or was that a fortelling of what might happen if you shoveled the icy snow? lol

LOL, no foretelling. Pat had some surgery yesterday. He's fine. Unfortunately, they couldn't do everything they needed under local anesthia, so he'll have to go back for more surgery under general anesthia. But hey, he needed surgery and we got snow... is there a correlation???? LOL Heck, I'll be clubbing Pat in his sleep just so he needs some procedures and we get snow. I'm kidding, of course... kind of... mostly... ok, maybe I'm serious... I do love snow.
Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Hope Pat recovers quickly! I know you are desperate for snow, but that desperate? LOL
Looks like I will actually be doing something this weekend...yay! lol Tomorrow night there is a band (named Velveeta..LOL) playing at a bar and a few people are going to see them. The band was really popular at PSU in the 80's and 90's...they still play there too. Sunday I am going over to a friends house for a Super Bowl party...not many of the people are Steelers fans (Go Cardinals ), but it is an excuse to drink (I took off Monday LOL).
Off to use the recumbent bike, and play some Wii....

Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Should we get a poll going regarding this 'nor'easter'? I say we get more of our usual... a wintery mix... but with more snow accumulation, but still some mixing. My guess, 5" of snow. I'm hopeful (cautiously hopeful) that we get more from this... seems its tracking further east... and thats good, right?
Ok.. who am I talking to???? LOL

Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
Yeah, east usually is better unless of close it goes completely out to sea. I agree with you about the mix for the Philly area, but with more snow than the last system. I'll be optimistic and go with 5.7" of snow for Philly Intl. Would be nice to somehow have work close on Tuesday because of snow since that would mean a 4 day weekend for me...lol.

Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
I haven't even noticed that guy Lou. As for the storm, I'm gonna take the usual stance us mets like to take. IT TOO EARLY TO TELL!
Sorry, but the models are still jumping around too much. From way inland to out to sea in one day. But I must say this storm has the most potential we've seen so far this winter.

Yeah, just taking a wild guess at a total for now...can't really make a call until Monday really.
Hair is a guy that has a screen name similar to IAMALLHAIR or something, and posts blogs about how his hair can forecast the weather, and mentions Pert Plus...some is funny, some is just stupid...
Eric - change your avatar Also, how is the job search going?

sounds like an um, interesting guy. The job search: don't ask. I thought it was bad in the summer, but there's even less now. Nobody's hiring; just laying people off.

Good luck with the job search, Eric.... I'll be rubbing my foot for you (rabbits foot). LOL
We all need to get together... we're overdue.

Re: MAIN BLOG - 11.18.08
I agree Brenda, we are overdue for a night out/get together. Since the turnpike tolls have gone up, I really am carefully selecting the times I go to Philly (tolls are now about $20 round trip for me ) At least gas prices are a bit lower than last fall when I last came down...lol.
I don't have anything to rub for good luck, but hope your job search gets better Eric
